SUMMER ROCKUMENTARIES - EVERY MONDAY AT 9PM:
After a brief hiatus, we are happy to announce that the rockumentaries are back! We will screen a film every monday at 9pm (after the open mic at 7pm). Here is the schedule:

- 6/28: The Last Waltz (The Band)
- 7/5: Man In The Sand (Billy Bragg & Wilco)
- 7/12: No Direction Home (Bob Dylan)

- 7/26: Stones In Exile (The Rolling Stones)
- 8/2: When You're Strange (The Doors)
- 8/9: Everyone Stares (The Police)
- 8/16: The Song Remains The Same (Led Zeppelin)
CALLING ALL SONGWRITERS!: It's back! The Songwriter Showdown is a competition where 18 singer/songwriters compete for a chance to win cash and studio time. This event will last for 3 nights (July 15-17) with 6 performers each night. At the end of the night on Saturday, we will announce two winners: the Judge's Vote Winner and the Audience Vote Winner. Each will receive a cash & studio time package worth $250. The shows start at 7pm each night and admission is $5 for one day or $8 for all three days. BATTLE OF THE BANDS RESULTS: In our most recent battle (May 10-15), Vibe Rising took 1st place. 2nd place went to Schroeder and 3rd went to Emily Wolfe. Thanks to everyone who performed and everyone who attended.

Music lovers as well as people who want to expand their musical horizons and spend time with friends might want to check out Muse Music, a local music venue and cafe in Provo, on Monday nights.
Each Monday at 9 p.m., Muse Music, located at 151 N. University Ave., will show documentaries about different bands, styles and eras of music. The films have been dubbed “Rockumentaries.”

Apart from maybe a roadside panhandler humming a lonely tune into his harmonica, an acoustic night at a local venue is about as raw and honest as the modern music scene gets, and Acoustic Night at Provo's own Muse Music is just the ticket. The songwriter showcase comes around every Thursday, with different performers plucking, singing, strumming and whistling to their hearts' content every week.
